Michael is a psychologist, Lecturer, and Research Fellow at the Institute for Positive Psychology and Education within the Australian Catholic University. He investigates performance, elite sport, and behaviour change. In particular, his work in sport and performance psychology goes back almost 10 years – he has worked with coaches and players from the NRL, AFL, and other top Australian sporting leagues. He has also applied his findings to performance in other fields and, as such, has worked with leading executives from the wealth and financial services industries to promote success. He specialises in conducting systematic reviews and in synthesising scientific findings to provide actionable insights to general audiences.
At the moment, Michael is investigating different strategies to promote prosocial behaviour change and increased charitable giving.
