Students for High-Impact Charity (SHIC) is an international organization that helps students discover how to do as much good in their lives as possible by empowering them to think critically about charity.

Catherine coordinates Students for High-Impact Charity, an international organization which helps students to discover how to do as much good in their lives as possible by empowering them to think critically about charity. She obtained a PhD in particle physics from the University of Melbourne, but has since aimed to inspire students to improve the world using science, with eleven years experience as a teacher of Science and Ethics in New Zealand schools. A founding member of Effective Altruism New Zealand, she has been involved in effective altruism outreach since 2015, giving presentations to groups around New Zealand.
